View Full Version : Little REACTOR Softbody problem...

Hi.

I'm having some trouble with Reactor. Softbodies think that they are colliding before they actually come in contact with other bodies, leaving a sort of gap between objects.

If I'm not making sense, please take a look at this (http://digital.mica.edu/bharris/reactormess.avi) . (1.7 mb)

Thanks if you can help. I'm sure I just have some obscure option turned on by accident.

Go into the main Reactor panel called "advanced"... adjust the collision tolerance setting-- make it a lower number.
I'm pretty sure this'll work.

FYI, lots of Reactor Softbody work can be done near realtime by using FFD modifiers. Instead of testing/deforming each vertex, it will test/deform Control Points on an FFD lattice. This is often all you need and it's much faster.
