View Full Version : Sync a 3D Camera with a Painters Eye?
DimensionalPunk 06-28-2005, 02:11 AM I'm working with a classical painting that I'm trying to mimic camera angle/height in a 3D app with the painters eye. The painting has what looks like very correct perspective with a floor and two walls that meat in a corner. Is there any technique that I can use to determine the best way to recreate the same dimensions in a 3D app or should I just eyeball it?

Well, here's a little tutorial to help with matching unknown/unmeasured scenes. http://www.fxguide.com/fxtips-233.html ...and since it is a painting, it's quite likely eyeballed to begin with, so your best bet to match it maybe to eyeball it yourself. And those painters, they're always faking it and bending the rules too. ;)

Wow thanks, that's exactly what I've been looking for.
