Hey guys,
using 3d studio max 7 here
I'm looking to find a good program that can paint textures/materials on my 3d objects

I wasnt really happy with using Photoshop to make the textures and then import them into 3d max, as I had no way of knowing how the texture would look once i applied/rendered it.

I also have started to mess around with Zbrush 2, and I finally figured out how to paint a model and then export it back to 3d max, but I'm wondering, is there a better program or method for doing this?

I like zbrush because I can paint on the actual 3d object, rather than painting on a 2d canvas and then projecting it as with the photoshop method

any ideas/suggestions?
thanks

hey man,

3DS7 combined with Texporter and Deep UV is a great combination, Deep Paint is apparantly good but I've only had a really minimal play with it.

texporter ==> http://cuneytozdas.com/software/3dsmax/

Deep UV / Paint ==> http://www.righthemisphere.com/index.html

good luck! :)
