You have modeled (nurbs, polys, subds) the plant and somehow want to convert it to paintFX!? That's not possible afaik.
Is the growing already animated?

Another option would be to use the paintFX system to recreate your tomato-plant and use that to animate its growing. Tomatoes could be put on it via locators or dummies that would be replaced in post.

Cheers
Chris

no, the growing is not yet animated! it is why i want to integrate it to the paintFX system,

if i have really understood, i can have with paintFX my tomatos plant modeled, or something near! or change the existing plants on my own!.....

anyway, thank you JBlaze

Sure. You should take a look at the paintfx-presets that come with Maya, choose one that's already similar to your plant (probably something from the Plants section ;)) and play with the attributes til it looks right for you.
