View Full Version : Animation: Journey to the Center of Earth - a teaser trailer

hey,
this is my first post here at CGtalk and i'd like to show you a teaser trailer for my upcoming animation project "Journey to the Center of Earth"
our original plan was to create an image collection with several vehicles for a journey to earth's core. the reactions on it were sooo amazingly great [thx to the blender community btw :) ] that we decided to make an animation with these vehicles... but this idea was growing larger and larger, so we decided to make a complete short movie.
time passed by, people were entering our project and we built a "production company", Earth's Core Productions. now we've got 2 3d modeling, texturing and animating artists 1 character animator and 1 music composer... and the project is still growing...

by the way... all the 3D stuff is done with Blender [ www.blender.org ]

this is cool...I am honoured that I am gonna work with these ppl...still the project haven't come to me yet, but wait, it will come...but it Andy and another guy has made such a great work, and it feels good to have such co-workers...and it will be fun to work in near future along side with him and the others...

And nice to show off that Blender is usable, you just need to know your tool ;)

Always nice to see your stuff. Excellent as always. Can't wait till you guys get this completed.

Very nice animation, congradulations and good luck on it. In critisism I would say that several of the shots in the middle are very quick, too quick to see what is really going on. But what i could see looked good.

Especially the text effects - odd remark I know. The editing is cool. Everything except the eye has some really nice detail/subtle effects - the fact that you spent some time on the text is really cool. I'll be waiting for more.

yeah... they are so quick 'cause it's a teaser trailer... i wanted to keep it as short as possible. but you'll get a lot of time in the finished movie...
