Hi Im in serious need of help, see here: http://www.derox.com/bjj/3.jpg

How do I work with textures etc to have a smooth nice texture without any of those stupid lines or whatever that is. I dont understand why those coming up? Im trying to figure why and how I fix this! :/ If Im working on a plane area those dont come up. but as soon it gets a bit bumpy it turns out like in the image!

Please help me out if you can, Im such a beginner! You guys are really something, keep it up!

BTW; Its in 3DS Max

Have you used cylindrical UV-mapping on that cylinder? It looks as if it's repeating or the gizmo is not the right size. Click the "fit"(?) button under UV-mapping.

(It's getting a little late here, maybe someone else can help you further.)

Darn, I need to deattach some stuff. Before I do that, when texturing a modell, is it better to have small pieces and never attach from the beggining when working with details etc?

Just noticed you're also from Göteborg.:)

It's definately easier to UV-map or unwrap when you can select faces from smaller pieces in the geometry. That is attach after you have done the UV-mapping/unwrapping. If you look around here and do a search for UV-mapping and unwrap, I'm sure you'll find quite a lot of good threads and tips.

Trevlig midsommar!
