here is my inital sketch - the girls hand is wrong, and the male fairy's back may be a little too curved. any thoughts on this anyone?

I like it so far, but I agree about the hand, it looks like it's been put on backwards x.x
As for the guy's back, it depends. Do you want him to be stiff and muscley, or toned and flexible? At the moment, he looks flexible.
Sorry for any typos. My new kitten is sleeping on my shoulder.

i dont think the hand is on backwards, its just a bit too twisted. try looking in the mirror, or get someone to pose for you while you sketch it out. great start though.
as for the back... it looks fine to me. maybe just a bit too curved.

Anariel and peaches - thanks for the input! i didn't manage to draw the hand properly, because i ran out of space on the paper to draw the arm it was attatched to. i couldn't figure out how it worked without drawing the whole thing in, sounds lame eh?

i'm sure i'll figure it out - thanks for the suggestions
