There are now some really helpful instructional videos on Alias|Wavefront's website!! They answered a bunch of lil questions i had about mental ray :)

Checked them out last week, they help clear-up a lot of little things (as the mental ray for maya documentation is extremely sparse, and the documentation for mental ray itslf is written in computer code).

I hope Alias comes out with more of these great little videos, like an advanced section.
