Baba Jaga

According to east european tales, she is an old evil witch, stealing children at night, living in the forest, in a house which stands on a hen foot.

I still don't like the bump, especially in the face, but you did a good job with the hair, would like to see a kind of a short 'making of' about the hair.

Do they speak english in east europe(probably not)?
I know some russian films where this witch(played by a man) played a leading role, and I always liked the house, so I would like to see her house on legs.

Array, she hides her teeth because of not wanting to be recognized.
scrimski, the hair is super spray particles with path follow (which you can see in the perspective render), the thin hairs are made with corel in postproduction.
in eastern europe, those who have learned english can speak it.
I do not know those russian films, I know BJ from my grandmother who used to threaten me with her when I didn't want to eat.

Thats very nice stuff, but one ugly face :)

I feel the poster looks a bit unrealistic, the text how its straight across but the paper seems crumpled?

Anyway cool idea and modelling and keep up the good work!

Hello Ania,

I was more concerned about the style, the appearance. It looks like a poster from a western movie, not the BJ I used to know.
Of course the people who learned english in eastern europe speak english. I do, you do and a lot of other people surely do.

Hey Ania,
Great work you have here. I like the unrefined look at the fact you're not taking this ultra seriously. Keep working in the way you want to work and don't try to conform to anything that doesn't come from inside.

Your story about your grandmother threatening you reminded me of my childhood. I got to spend some time with my grandmom earlier this year and I hope to see her again next year. Thanks for bringing up the good memories.

hey, great job, I agree with scrimski, the bump in her face maybe is too much, try using a bigger sized texture map and increase the specular level in her face.
Nice job anyway, and a very good idea for the character. I grew up with those tales, including when she helped the prince in a russian tale called the Frog Princess. "Turn your house back to the forest and facing me" or something like that.

Keep the good work,

Dan.
