View Full Version : Problem starting Painter IX

ok i don't own the full version, i am using the evaluation version. Since "successfully' installing the program i have yet to get it to open up properly, and it's driving me mad.
(i just bought a new tablet)

So when i launch the program, immediately after the painter splash screen dissapears, it's "not responding". Even more strange when i look in Task Mangler, it shows 2 instances of Corel Painter IX.exe "not responding'.

I've looked around a bit, but no one has described this issue, or perhaps i just missed it.

can anyone shed some light please?

You might try to reset it by holding the shift key when you click the Painter icon to start it. I don't know if it will solve your problem, but you might try it. Restting it will get rid of any custom brushes and things and restore it to install settings.

hey thanks a lot mang, thats what the corel people suggest to; and it worked, i can't believe it, i've been bangin my head against that for awhile now. thank you very much.
