nice image and idea. i like it.
Leaves in the sunny side of the road seem a bit strange to me. like some artificial over saturated glow or glare. but hate to mention details from the background when the key is not there.
just curious about the way of modeling the trees. could you share?
nice work.
cheers

very nice. the teapots remind me of pigeons. I can see them moving just from the picture.

Ok, muy bueno pero cuanto tiempo tomó el render?

No tengo nada contra el software solo que tarda siglos.

Hello again!:D

Thanks for all your comments!!
The image has been rendered with the new beta of maxwell (1.2.1), I have used sss, glossies, dof, real motion blur, dielectric shaders, skydome and emitter....and the image to 500x800 has had a time to render of 25min ( dual xeon 3ghz ). After I made an image to 1250x2000 and it take 5h, I believe that it is a very good time since it does not have anything of noise.
And the idea of the image is that the teapots were like pigeons, jeje I am glad that you like the idea.

And now I teach 3 to you images, regions of the hi-res image, wire and the image is at 50% of original size.

Pretty good, I like the render quality and the composition but one thing that would make this even better is adding splash coming off the main teapot under the water. Adding water droplets to the teapots would tie them into the image better and give it a better overall sense of realism. Two more things I noticed. The sprinkler bucket is unrealistically hanging from that water sprout. I don't think it would balance well on that kind of curved surface angle. Also the trees look too thick in the branches and remind me more of a cactus with a tree shape. I definately think thinner branches would look better. Grats on front page, it's a cool image.

Wow you almost got me there. I thought well those teapots are nicely composited in...but then I read that all of it was actually 3D! Awsome quality in all aspects of that render.

well! I thought except for the teapots rest are real!!! :) a wonderful piece of work Sytron! you inspire me to try out maxwell..! probably should try that soon. And to remark, lighting and texuring was really fantastic..it looks real!

thanks for sharing! :)

Great job, I like the use of correct use of exposure, did you just blow out the sunlight? use exposure controls in max? or do it in post perhaps?

cheers :)

*collapses* I will never understand how you 3d people are able to come up with such effect. A masterpiece!

Great stuff! Nice idea and execution. And the rendertime also seems very good for Maxwell (well, for any renderer at this quality).
One thing I noticed was that the car seems to float because the tyres aren't compressed. The water drops don't seem to blend well with the ground and the puddle there either. But apart from those two things it's a damn good photoreal pic.

I guess I don't have to comment on the execution of this piece anymore, it's all been said and it's great :)

although I wonder, how does the watering can stay attached to the faucet? Is there someone holding it who is not on the picture? This threw me a bit off....despite the tea pots hehe

Beautiful render ... although I'd have to agree with Kwramm ... how is it staying on the faucet ... it looks like it would fall off. Other wise, very nice work! :)

S'mazing.
I absolutely love your 'living teapots,' you can definetely tell they are supposed to be alive.
And, as usual, the Maxwell renderer is frickin' AMAZING.

Excellent Light here, very realistic scene.
I don't like the last faze when the water fall down on the ground it looks like frozen in a ice, I will add some organic mesh to get the effect better , some of the props are to deep in the ground... the rest is WOW!! excellent concept and idea it catch my eyes!

After I made an image to 1250x2000 and it take 5h, I believe that it is a very good time since it does not have anything of noise.

So could you show us that noiseless image? So far I see too much noise. Some of them are of course hidden because of textures, but are visible.

fun little scene!
i think the blurred car in the bg is distracting. Seems like the motion should be centralized. IMO.

Do you have a tutorial on how to make those teapots ;)

Muy buena escena! felicitaciones

Solo dos pequeñas criticas:

1. El agua me parece más como que fuese hielo.

2. se les olvido ponerle el (2-Sided) ó doble lado en el material de las teteras.
(para que no se vea transparente la parte interna de las mismas.

Fuera de eso, Excelente trabajo como siempre. :applause:

Hah, wow. When I first saw Maxwell Render, and read up about how it worked, I was just like "That program could create some very cool renders if it was put up with some realistic textures, and a good modeller" and looks like I was right.

Fantastic job. I love it.

Genial.

Gracias por deleitar mi vista y sorprenderme.
