Large gaming company in Boston, MA is currently seeking a Senior Animator. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of production experience as a character animator and extensive experience animating with Maya. Candidates must demonstrate an exceptional understanding of animation theory, and the ability to animate Characters, Monsters and objects to an extremely high level of quality. A demo reel should demonstrate an expressive animation style with a focus on movement and acting.

Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with other Artists, Animators, and members of the Content Design team to help conceptualize character motions and abilities.
• Ultimately bring the Characters and Monsters of the D&D Universe to life within D&D Online.
• Reviewing animation with other Animators.
• Overseeing and coordinating animation outsourcing where applicable.
• Managing and planning of production schedules and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.


Requirements:

• The candidate must have at least 5 years of computer animation experience and should possess a college degree in an art related field.
• Extensive working knowledge of Maya.
• Thorough understanding of animation principles including posing, motion, timing weight, balance, cause and effect
• This position requires excellent communication, interpersonal organizational and project task management skills.
• Willingness to provide and accept direction, capable of embracing change
• Ability to work collaboratively with other DDO team members.
• Work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Finish work in a timely manner.
• D&D knowledge/experience and interest in MMPs a plus.
• Technical skills including Mel Scripting and Character setup is a plus
• Modeling and Texturing skills are also a plus
