(C)2005 Original elements/design/concept by Alan Lastufka
I created most of the individual elements in Cinema 4D and the rest was created by hand in Macromedia's Fireworks MX.
Any critiques/suggestions wlecomed (except comments on the font - I love it, even if it is small - its still very clear and readable at any screen resolution).
Thanks for looking

Looks very clean and well layed out. Is this for a real world project?

Its a VSTi synth... think Cakewalk Sonar/Steinberg Cubase and similar MIDI softs...

Not sure if it will see the light of day as a working synth/sampler yet - I don't know C++ or ASM so I'll have to find someone who can program it.
Thanks. :)

Looks very nice and indeed stylish.
This font is a good choice. It seems it's a so-called "pixel font", like ones seen on pixel avatars and dollz sites. What's the name of the font?

Nice job Allan.
You might be interested to see a similar job of mine - the piano renders are all from Cinema 4D:

Mike - you did the Ivory GUI? Nice. Very nice.
This was my first attempt at a Sampler GUI - so that's why I'm looking for suggestions to make it alittle more user friendly. Great work with Ivory, I know alot of people who love it for its sound, but I like it for its interface. ;)

I didn't know C4D was skinnable? I've always just used the factory default not knowing I could change it - I'll look in to it.
Thanks. :)
Granted, it's probably a bit limited for what you have in mind with that synth, but you could try creating it in SynthEdit. It's freeware, fully skinable, pretty easy to use [provided you know how modular synthesis works], and best of all it exports to VSTi standard without having to do any actual programming, so what have you got to lose really?

Ow, and I just saw it's a sampler, not a synth hehe, but that's ok because SynthEdit supports samples instead of oscillators too. Whatever routing you have in mind though, I'm sure you could whip it up in Native Reaktor easy, but that one unfortunately is not freeware.

sure is, have a look at the schemes folder under the Ressources directory - have a go at it - and show us what you come up with!
