Tactical Assault, a genre blending fps experience is looking for experienced mappers and texture artists, primarily player skinners. Made by up and coming company Project-51 studios, Tactical Assault will be hitting retail around a year. However, like Counter-Strike, Tactical Assault could use the help of talented mappers to give the game a large amount of spectacular environments.
Tactical Assault is a team-oriented game for the Torque Engine. Tactical Assault pits two or more teams against each other in an effort to complete their mission objectives. With a large variety of weapons and equipment at a squad member’s disposal, each team gains points by completing their objectives by working together and using unique strategies. Featuring maps that range from vast outdoor environments or facilities, to smaller themed areas, and boasting high polygon weapon and player models, Tactical Assault is both unprecedented in gameplay, sound, design, and graphics.

Tactical Assault Features three modes of play: Skirmish, Campaign, and War mode. Each offers a very different style of play. Skirmish showcases quick tactical action, with up to 32 players. Campaign features large scale team warfare maps, set on immersive environments, and strategic gameplay for up to 64 players. War mode integrates real time strategy elements, base building and defense, tactical team action, and massive large scale environments for up to 128 players. Players build up their skills and stats through a unique RPG element, which gives players reason to play hard, and strategically.

Players can choose from ten different classes depending on their style of play:

Commander

Recon

Hacker

Light Assault

Infantry

Riflemen

Sniper

Medic

Gunner

Demo Expert

With over sixty real world, upgradeable weapons and equipment, over twenty vehicles at your command, and wide assortment of base structures including sniper towers, pillboxes, fortification, turrets, and machine factories, Tactical Assault gives the player compete freedom to play any role they choose.

Anyone who is willing to map for Tactical Assault can: they will provide you with the tools. However, just because you produce a map, does not mean your map will be put into Tactical Assault. If you make a high quality, unique map, and the members like it, we will include you in the Tactical Assault staff, at which point your name will be in the mapping team, and you will recieve a certain amount of profits.
While we have our own mapping system for those that make it on the team, TAME (Tactical Assault Mapping Edition), we would prefer mappers that join use 3dsmax 4 or 5.
We are also looking for experienced texture artists who would also be made a part of the team, if accepted.
