Texture question

Are you talking about using procedurals or doing UV maps?

I have a procedural skin texture that is freely available here (http://bgdm.katorlegaz.com/skin.zip).

If you want to paint your own via Photoshop, etc., there are many tutorials online for that purpose. Just do a google search for them.

There is also the SSS script over at the MakeHuman website as well.
