My client are currently looking to recruit an experienced Technical Artist to work on their forthcoming titles.
The technical artist role can have a varied slant depending on project specific requirements and the status at the time of work made by the CTG/Art team.
Reports to:
Lead artist/animator or other depending upon specific duties within specific studio
· Must have experience in scripting in Mel, Maxscript or Jscript/VBscript - in Maya, 3dsMax or XSI and hence good general knowledge of 3d package used
· Highly creative ability with technical problem solving in the area of art and animation tools
· Able to collaborate with game programmers
· Originality and independence in problem solving
· Timely and succinct delivery of solutions to tasks set
· Ability to both take direction and be proactive in problem solving
. Must have held a similar position within the games industry previously and have worked on at least one published console title
· Good communication skills and ability to clearly comment, document and produce training materials as necessary for work done
· Familiarity with art/animation pipelines, methods and techniques
. Some background in and sympathy with art/animation/aesthetic concerns
Salary: to £30k doe + bens
Location: UK - Surrey
