CAn you paint onto your models in modo or give your character different colors like I c here in this link. TIA

I haven't come across such a feature and I don't think it's in there...Policarpo's model probably uses different material or a texture painted outside.

I personally really want a Paint module to make it's way into the Luxology pipeline.

That is a render composited over the Modo interface. There is a shadow running across the front of the model.

c-g is correct. We just composited in a render on the splash page of the tutorial. But the final pose on page 4 was surfaced in modo and then exported and rendered.
