View Full Version : Xref: scale issue in network render

Ok, the case is that I basically have to scenes, with one xref'ed into the other. They both are done in meters and match up perfectly inside max. I can even render the "masterscene" without any problems whatsoever. The issue emerges when I try to do a network rendering. Suddenly it seems that the Xref'ed scene just disappears. However when I look closer, I find that, the scene isn't gone. It's just tiny. It simply scales down by a factor of 10 or 100 or something, but only when using my network rendering servers, which leads me to believe it might be a local setting on them.

Any answers, or suggestions are more than welcome.

No suggestions at all?

yeah we had this bug too... the only work around we have come up with is to change the default unit on each render box to the units of the incoming scene...

Its a stupid killer bug that I've reported to discreet.... there doesnt seem to be any word on a patch yet

Yet another reason that I'm starting to move to XSI.
