View Full Version : Maya "all in one" artist needed

Hello,

I'm helping a company I sometimes work for with a 3d project, and have come to the point where the skills needed are beyond my own, so I'm posting here in order to find someone to refer them to. They are a bit unfamiliar with 3d (they do print), so I am helping narrow down who to hire.

The project requires a Maya artist to take pre-built 3d models of characters from a specific video game and help pose, light, and render the characters (high resolution beauty shots) for key art on the video game packaging.

the models have already been supplied in Maya Binary format, but as a Lightwave user, I am not able to use them in their native format, and it's too convoluted a process for me to re-rig and re-texture them for the rendering after converting them to LW. I have not opened the files in Maya, so I do not know if they are rigged in Maya or not.

Here's how I would like to approach this. I would like any prospective artists to email me ( steve @ aerodrome . com) with samples of your work so that I can pre-screen and discuss things with the artist before referring you personally to them.

This is a paying project, of course, but specific fees can be discussed after the project's and client's requirements are better known.

thanks!

Steve F.
