This is a image that I whipped up last night just for fun.

I am not so sure about the color of the vein though...
What do you guys think?

I didn't use any lighting here cos I don't think it need any.
I look forward to your comments... :)

I like it, but you could use a bit more polys on the red cell closest to us

Looks very nice. Here are acouple other blood cell renders I've seen recently. Both done in Lightwave I think.

Thanks for the feedback guys... :D

By the way, I've already seen that lightwave tutorial. That was one of the reaons I wanted to do this because it is simple to do but has a neat result. One other reason is that I was kind of inspired by that CG short called... "Body Story"... I think... or "Body Works"? I am not sure, but it's one or the other.

Anyway, in the tutorial, the jargon used in Lightwave is quite different compared to 3DS MAX 4. Therefore I had to create this scene on my own. :p

Nice I like the "fuzz" on the cell. The depth of field could be a little more gradual.

how did u design the little interfaces, i'm doing something like it now and mine all come out crap

Great work from everyoneon these Blood cell images.....working from the tutorial or not you all did a great job!


Of course if it was my lood cells in the pix you would have to add Beer particles around them :D

a friend pointed out to me that its now on about 8 different sites and in about 5 languages

its great that people like it enough to copy it :)
