Hi guys, Leonard and myself had noticed the old 3dfestival.com site wasn't really great for readibility, the vertical plugs weren't getting read and it just bascially wasn't reader friendly, so I'm pleased to announce the spanking new http://www.3dfestival.com

We decided to go back to the layout that worked for us b4 and added a few tweaks here and there...

We hope you like it

Very nice :) ... I totally love this version better. The navigation is easier, the look is more professional and most of all, all the necessary contents are still there :)

Great stuff! The content on 3D Festival beats everything else hands down. Irregardless of design, content is still king.

Due to a considerate explanation by lildragon, I've edited this post to remove subjective material. Sorry guys, I had no idea.

not really ,

that design was around long before cg channel , the horizontal layout system is by no means patented , its just the most effective one for ease of viewing.

There was a thread requesting that no one discus 3D Channel at CG Talk. The CG Talk people I guess were people who had all quit CG Channel and though the post didn't go into too much detail you got the feeling it wasn't an amiable split. At any rate, I bet that's why their a little touchy about comparing CG Channel to 3D Festival though of course CG Channel doesn't hold the patent on horizontal layouts.
