View Full Version : Walk Cycle - Lowman - Please critique :)
2hands 06-17-2005, 09:21 PM First poses of the walk I'll put on my reel. Just need someone to see something I can't right now. Don't want to move into breakdowns or the deadly spine realm if something's off here. Thanks!

I like the subtle hand motion, I'd be tempted to twist the chest just a tiny tiny bit more, ditto on hips... but that might be overdoing it.
Overall, it's a nice normal walk.

Thank you, I'll experiment with the extremes a bit more, I want to keep it nice a sublte, but I also want it to have a touch of life/flavour.
Thanks for the comments...

the problem is that his milkshake doesn't bring all the boys to the yard.

looks good to me, but i'd add a tiny bit of a pivot into his hips. the walk seems a bit stiff to me. not too big of a jolt, but a little twist in his hips and shoulders.

LOL! What?
This is such a great start. I'm having a hard time finding anything wrong with it. Like the suggestions above, I'd say exaggerate it a bit more. Save this one though, make a new copy.
Or use this as a base, and start doing emotional variations, a happy walk, a sad walk, a scared walk.
