Slystone 10-19-2002, 02:40 AM Hi, i made a procedural skin texture for a head mapping but i'd like to add some scars and other stuff like tatoos on it .
My problem is that i don't know how to export this kind of texture to photoshop... i'm working with 3dmax 4.2 and have the texporter plugin.
Please, help ;)

what kind of procedural texture you made for skin?
the texporter is made for exporting the wire of the model to an image that you use in photoshop for painting the texture (you use in a different layer).
is your model an editable mesh? if yes then read the thread next to you - patch texturing. i wrote how do i use it with edit mesh but i don't know what technics are used for patch models.

3dsMax as far as I know doesn't support to export a procedural texture to bitmap, but you could use tbaker from cebas to do that, it'll convert any procedural or vertex color to a normal bitmap.
