hello, i'm trying to wire an mechanised object that's rotating in all axis, and objects that are constrained to different paths, the goal is whenever the arm moves, the objects will respond along it's path according to the angle the arm is rotated.
for instance, when the mechanised obj rotates about its y-axis 30 degrees, obj-a will move 30% along its designated path; when the mechanised obj rotates about its x-axis 50 degrees, obj-b moves 50% along its path.
my attempt was to create a slider manipulater, assigned the object a 'path constraint' to its path, and wired the slider value to the path's percentage. that was simple. then i can't seem to drive the 'slider' with the mechanised obj' angle. when i wire the mechnised obj's axis rotation to the slider value, the only that happened was the slider's value on top of the slider manipulater, not the triangle underneath.
is the way i am going about it totally wrong? is there an easy way to do this? is there a way to control the path percentage by another obj's rotational angle? any input is greatly appreciated. thanx.
