Err...I feel really dumb asking this since all you tech guys know everything lol! I suck at using comps *shame*...yesterday my printscreen button stopped working. Like I press it, and when I try to copy or whatever the image somewhere else it won't paste it or will just paste the last thing I ctrl c'ed. I'm sure I've just had a brain lapse where it's something obvious (like I need to press something else)...but does anyone have a clue? Or perhaps I've broken something...that's happened before too http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/grin.gif again...sorry for being so...errr...stereotypically girly.

Dude, I've had exactly the same problem, and am totally glad you asked this question. Anyone know why the Print screen screen-capture function sometimes stops working after a while??

Ive only ever had problems trying to capture media player screen grabs. The solution to that was turning off hardware acceration in Media player.

I assume your problem is different tho.

Are you both trying to paste printscreen/screengrabs into Photoshop? I've come across odd behaviour with Photoshop and windows clipboard from time to time. Closing and loading photoshop will normally solve it. Try pasting into paint if you're having problems to see if it's just the app you're using.
Other than that... I'd suggest to try another keyboard. :)

Well, I use to have the same problem on my home pc quite often, having a softquadro, while at work, having a quadro fx3400, it never happens. It seems that the available buffer for the clipboard just fills up after a couple of printscreen presses, and you have to reboot
your machine..
