This animation is my final year project at the NCCA (several of you will already have seen my flatmate's excellent film Theros (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=240957). He's also in the NCCA). It's set in a world I've had in my mind for quite a while, and in parallel to this film I have made a comic strip, set in the same world, so as to give the world and its characters more of a reality.

I felt the short animation format would be perfect to depict Disarea's shifting gravity fields, as well as making for a relatively entertaining piece of work. I tried to make the aesthetic of the film match that of the comic strip. Be sure to tell me what you think!

You'll need Divx to watch these:

Small (16 MB) (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk/images/DregsSmall.avi)

Large (80 MB) (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk/images/DregsLarge.avi)

You can read the 16 page comic book here (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk/comic/comictitle.htm)

You can read about both the film and comic book in my website (http://www.mbeeson.co.uk).

Here's a couple of images from the film:

And here's a page from the comic strip:

Nice short. I really liked that shifting gravity, and the style of your world is pretty neat too. There are a few parts where the animation could use a little work, but its mostly really good. Really good job in capturing your comic in 3d too
