This may be an easy question for some of you. Ok, I'm just doing some tests, and i'm dropping a cloth object (simple plane) onto another model ("scales of justice"). The problem is, the scales are not one solid piece of geometry, and they're animating. When I drop the cloth, it goes right through the scales. Does anyone know a workaround for this? Maybe some sort of expresso for object collision or something?

Any help is appreciated.

Did you put a cloth collider tag on the scales? How are they animated and what kind of object are they?

yeah not enough detail to reall help you yet

Remember all collider objects must be polgyon objects not primitives or nurbs objects.

Here's an editor view...I did a current state to object to the scale. The scales were animated going up and down, and rotating. I screwed around with it, and it looks like I have to put a collider tag on every poloygon object the whole way down through the hiearchy, and then animate the scales again.

Yes, each polygon object needs a collider tag. In this scenario you will have to up the subsampling quite a bit because of the heavy animation going on under the cloth.

yes each one willl need a collider tag.. easiest way to apply tag to all of them, make one collider and get the settings you want on it, then put it on a null and place all objects as children, then simply use the copy tag to children command and remove them from that parent null.
