Locomotion is seeking a multi-talented Senior Maya artist to head up the 3D department in the Düsseldorf office.
The artist should have a fantastic eye for reality and be able to see and discuss their own work with objectivity.
The artist should be technically apt. Experience with 3D design, logo design and preproduction is important.
An affection for Adobe CS!
A love of Shake, Afterfx, Nuke or Combustion!
An obsession for plug-ins and the vision to use them without fear!
If the artist can draw with pen and paper and using his or her voice to generate sound effects, it would be fantastic – and even more fun!
Skill-set should include modeling and animation, lighting, shading and rendering.
Special interest will be given to those who display a talent in additional areas such as particle animation and dynamics simulation.
An equally important aspect of the role will be the supervision of our rapidly expanding 3D department including the day to day supervision of perma-lance and free-lance 3D operators and graphic artists. An apprentice should also be chosen and raised in the fine art of 3D.
We would prefer someone with previous post-production experience. A self starter, a go getter. A team-mate. A communicator.
And if that person has a personality that enjoys true collaboration, the process, creativity and problem solving on the spot he/she will win hearts and conquer evil. Please note - Locomotion is a fast paced, creative environment seeking high-end results only.
