When I hit the "reset actor" button, to put my character back in the pose it had when I enveloped it, my effector control objects are muted. (the effectors are position contrained to them.) How do I un-mute the position contraints? The obvious doesn't work (checking 'active' and bringing the weight to 100%). No matter what I do, the constraint on each effector has a little 'm' over it in the explorer.

??

Thanks

edit: I see there have been some posts on this, but no obvious solution to turning on the contraints.... Anyone know?

Wow! The help xsi docs really help!

If anyone cares, here's the solution: Reset actor shouldn't be used when deformers have constraints on them. Instead, select the rig and contraining objects and choose 'Store', then 'Transformations- Current Values'. This stores the pose in the mixer.

So, to reset your actor, find the saved pose in the mixer (through the explorer), select it, then choose 'Apply', then 'Action'.

anyhoo.
