Half-Life 2 Mod: Eternal Silence is looking for artists
We are looking for serious artists to join our team. If you ever thought of creating art for a Half-Life 2 Mod, this is your chance to apply. We are a serious team, and we’re looking for serious artists. This means you should:
Be able to work with a team
Have a full understanding of a major 3D modeling package (Max, Maya, Lightwave, XSI, etc.)
Have a full understanding of a major texturing program. (Photoshop, Painter, Deep Paint, Zbrush, etc)
Have at least a working understanding of the game production pipeline
Have a good understanding of both 2D and 3D design, color theory, etc.
Must be able to take a given concept and see it through fruition, and be able to generate a rough concept and gather references based on documentation when necessary
Must be interested in Eternal Silence and domination type gameplay
Model and texture compiling and experience with Half Life and Half-Life 2/Source are a big plus
Strong traditional art skills a big plus
High-poly and normal map production knowledge a big plus
Must be flexible and deal well with change
Must accept criticism with maturity, and be able to assess your own work for weaknesses.
Must be dedicated to creating the best art you possibly can, and then making it better.
We are primarily looking for level artists. Duties would consist of mostly of texturing; creating realistic level textures, painting static prop textures, as well as modeling and texturing of various in-game props.
