look inside the scenes folder that came with max, i'm not sure what it's called but there is a beautifull snow scene there, study that one.

You can find it in folder
scenes/FeaturesScenes/Displacement/Antarctica
it's part of a top/bottom mat i guess
but you can find another one on neilblevins site...for download

Ugh, I made that scene almost 4 years ago. Don't put too much emphasis on it - it's really REALLY basic.

I rendered that scene out just now and i think there is nothing wrong with it, actually it looks damn good.


I perticularly liked that scene as there was rock coming through the mountains which looked very realistic.

How is the FX site coming along BrandonD? need any help putting it toghether give us a shout.
