But,
You can not do inverse under the following condition since there are not inverse Ring or Loop.
For alternative resolve way: Just select one edge firstly, get entire Ring or Loop, and then, deselect those edges that you don't want. :-)

I wouldnt say it was dead, I tried omtoolbox about 6 weeks ago and got some serious slowdown with the edge loop split, dont know whether its been fixed.

I didn't wanted to be rude. But MJ Polytools hadn't been change since 2003 I think. I really great script (alias integrated it into the bonustools intead of making their own). And OMToolbook is active, opensource so if your are a coder you can grow the team and it use MJPolytools. I didn't find any slow down using it...

OMT stands for the Opensource Maya Toolbox, so everyone is welcome to join. The more developers in fact, the better. Take a look at the website and get in contact with Jakob Welner.

you can certainly integrate your code with OMT....jacob has set the script up as open source for this very reason. He didnt want the scripts to become dead...

It is true that MJPolytools hasn't been update in a long time, but it is stil the best. OMT comes from behind, but they stil have a lot of things to fix there.

Yes, i know it has all the functions implemented, but they don't work that well as in MJPT. The select loop/ring has problems with some initial selections, the connect feature, olso. And other bugs, but those are the most important. OMT is for the future, but for me MJPolyTools is stil the best.

After I finished my improvement on MJPoly Tools, I just heard OMT. I will join the developing group of OMT. I found OMT doesnt have inverse selection and interval selection. I hope I can add them later.

MJPolyTools has been dead in a long time, and you are free to update the tools and publish them if you want to.
I can link link to your page, if you create the tools as an extra mel file for MJPolyTools.

Right now, joining OMT and integrate the tools here, would be the best answer.
