Title: Icu & Pharmacy
Name: John Hernandez
Country: United States
Software: LightWave 3D, Photoshop

These 4 images were created in 8 days (plus a couple of weekends for rendering and a few more days for changes). Originally they used HDRI but F-Prime wouldn't play nice with the images so the HDR Image was removed and a few reflection maps added in it's place.
Some post work was done to remove grain, add DOF and add the 2 nurses in the one shot (which I did not do).

The client is very happy with them but I would like to push my photo real skills further. So, if anyone can help w/some advice I would appreciate it. I know they are way to clean but that's what clients want... no dirt or grim in the ICU.
Thanks for looking.

This is how I'd assume those tijuana mexico pharmacy labs look like. Drugs filled to the top of the room woo hoo. :) The lighting looks spot on but if you are trying for realism you need a little dirt I believe. I know I know it's a clean lab but even new cars have specks on them. Nothing is perfectly clean in the real world. Nice work!

Oops didnt see this:

Hmmm errrrr wellll then I think you are done right? Even in that lab I would assume some dust bunnies, or dirt has pitted in corners or paint has streaked slightly. If you are pushing for realism like you say then a small add of dirt will be most likely unnoticeable to your client and will create a more believable lab. Just my opinion.

thanks Mr.P. I origionally had a little more chaos in the image. I made a trash can with some paper comeing out of it and had stuff on the desk and a fuse box under the clock... all removed by the client. On the chair shot I had the curtain almost glowing from sun light pouring in the winfow... they said it was o bright, a nurse would have drawn the shades :banghead: At least they let me keep some of the hotspots :hmm:

Johnny, I really like the close-up pic of the cardboard box and meds. Very nice texture, lighting and DOF. Question, though, are you using an orthogonal view? The box seems to have a slightly warped shape to it.

Keep up the good work.

Jason
