I am new to Modo and ran into a few problems
1) The falloff manipulator seems to move in reverse to where my mouse is moving
2) The min/max of falloff cannot seem to be changed
3) The camera is really awkward, just like messiah's. Is there anyway to change it to something EAXCTLY like maya's

Thanks!

For the camera,I'd say give a go at the current setup.

I used to disable the Trackball rotation(which is what you want to do in Viewport settings) because it didn't act as I was used to but I've come to love it.

It's faster and precise.Play a bit with it before getting rid.

I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say that the falloffs move opposite...

But the min/max settings, I'm assuming you're talking about the In/Out, the popover menu above it needs to be set to "custom" to set those parameters

It's kind of funny really. you look at Modo and think oh man, where is everything?

then when you jump in and just do it, stuff just sort of fallls together.

I agree when it comes to everything else but the camera. I gave up on messiah because of its crazy camera that requires me to scroll the mouse several times to get to where I need to be and I think I will probably ditch Modo because of the camera too. Its veryt hard to orient myself to a different camera system than that of Maya's since I started with it first and it has almost become intuitive now. When I am good enough I will make a plugin for all these program with a camera system that mimics Maya's exactly.

@helicopterr - If you enable Maya navigation and turn off trackball rotation it's exactly like Maya except when you zoom the zooming action is towards the cursor which I think is an improvement. Where Maya just zooms towards the center of the screen.

The targeted Zoom helps minimize the panning you do immediatly after a zoom. I don't have any problem going back and forth between Maya and Modo.

Are you sure you have Modo setup correctly?

When I am good enough I will make a plugin for all these program with a camera system that mimics Maya's exactly
BTW the following apps can be set to use Maya style camera navigation:

Cinema4D
Modo
Silo

Click on the viewport shading label(Textured,Wireframe...) and it's right there.

Also available in the viewport properties.

Thanks Dion. I was having trouble with the In/Out settings. "Custom" works!!!
