The company for which I work is in need of a temporary graphic artist person starting immediately with employment guaranteed through 30 Sept. with the possibility of further employment. Here is the position description: (note the part about start time )
Develop 2-D and 3-D, and motion television graphics for television news programming. Using software products such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe ImageReady, Vectorworks, Flash, QuarkXPress, Adobe Premiere to provide over-the-shoulder, bottom 1/3, screen, talent backgrounds and other graphic arts. Multi-task in fast-paced, deadline driven team environment while achieving exceptional quality. Act as the art Director, taking themes from news producers and developing relevant graphic products. Examples of the types of graphics currently being employed can be seen be streaming Navy/Marine Corps News and Daily News Update fromwww.navy.mil (http://www.navy.mil/) . The work day starts at 630 AM to be able to make the new daily graphic products. Familiarity with the Navy current events and history is highly desirable.
This is in DC, at the Naval Station/Anacostia.
