Hello,

I'm an independent film director. I have recently completed a no budget live action feature length movie titled "Just For Fun". For the opening title sequence I want to show 3D images suggesting things people have done "for fun" throughout time. The images start out innocent(sports, parties, entertainment), then grow more and more seedy(gambling, sex(PG-13), drugs), then downright chaotic( fighting, robbing, running from the cops, killing). Not something everyone would do, but it's a social comment. You can see more about the film at www.oregonpictures.com

What I would like to do is ask the artists who show their work on this site to send images or vid clips(under 4 seconds) for the above title sequence. I'm not sure if you would allow me to ask so broadly, and I'm not sure how to best go about it. I cannot offer financial compensation, but I would give credit to each of the artists and a special thanks to cgchannel.com.

The images can be set as far back as prehistoric times, and all the way through to present day. Just show what you think people did or do for fun? What is your idea of a goodtime?

Maybe you have an image sitting around on your hard drive, or want to make something up. Just make sure the images are at least 720 pixels wide by 540 pixels high.

Many thanks, and best wishes,

Thank you everyone who has allowed us to use your work. We'll send exhibition release forms before the film goes to print.

The deadline for images and video clips is April 22, 2002.

Try to make the images and clips at least 720 x 540 pixels. The title sequence is a montage, but some of the images are being used full screen.

Warmest regards,

what extensions do you accept? is Photoshop -PSD ok?

Yes, .psd or any extension accepted by Photoshop. .avi, .mov, or image sequences for vids. So far, we've been able to handle everything, but the divx version of mpeg, but we're working on a way to convert that as well.

Thanks for the clarification.
