View Full Version : Serious render problem
sigma 10-18-2002, 01:06 AM This is a problem a bud of mine is having at work.

I have 200 meg scene file with 34 lights
i have deleted all the history, optimized the scene
bot all the textures
i'm still having problems rendering the scene.
maya would start to render but the renderer would just close without any error messages .
it does not write out any render files either
can someone help me out.

it is when you render in maya or when you start a render in like render launcher

if you got a dual try to start your scene on one prosc and if not l got the same problem its because l got too much big map over 2000 pixel if its the case you must render in layer to optimize your scene because your map suck all ram you got.........

check in the AE, if at least one cam is set to renderable...
and additionally see in the render globals if the camera is set to render at least RGB..
sometimes it can happen that all that is switched off and then nothing is rendered and written

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Turns out there was a corrupted piece of geometry, Maya couldnt tesselate it.
Strange but true.
