Hi all,

Ive just bought Vue and Im finding it to be very sluggish and not very responsive.
for example just adding a sphere seems to bring it to its knees. ie navigation and
moving objects.

Ive got A P4 3.0GHZ, 3GB Ram, Ati 9800 Pro

Ive tried OGL on and off to no effect in fact its worse with OGL on.
Any ideas on what this could be for a problem, because how it stands
at the moment the software seems to me to be unusable.
I also use Cinema 4D and Rhino and perform great on my machine, thats
why I cant believe how slow Vue is.

Any help would be greatful

Have you tried turning Enable Background Draw Thread off.

That was the problem for me.

First off have you installed the latest update from e-on???

Also update your ATI drivers...

See what happens, I had a similar thing happen & I was using an ATI 9800 XT...

By doing the above, things were much better...:)

You could also try turning the preview window off - that helps considerably.

And make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Graphics card drivers are often a problem with Vue; I agree that you should check whether your drivers need updating. And there is a new beta update from last week (around 15 June) that is really comprehensive and has really stabilized V5I on my system.
