put some more time into the mouth and nose. also, i think the brow could use some more definition. the eyelids are pretty good.

I think he may need more cranial mass. Make his brain bigger. The poor guy...

Looks a bit narrow,.. ditto on the head space.

Are you going to have problems in the corners of the mouth when animated or did you model it so that it can open, close, etc.
Also the sinus looks a little cavatated.

Nice progress! and I'm sure you have taught yourself alot already so keep at it!

Hi,

Nice work so far, my main crit would be the lower lip, lips are very soft when they go into the corner of the mouth I also think it needs to be a bit thicker.

heheh... This guy's mouth reminds me of the actress who played the Borg queen in Star Trek First Contact. Good start for a mesh though. I do think that you should bring in his top lip a bit - that overbite makes him look a bit like a hillbilly. And do something about those two creases running down his brow. Otherwise, it's pretty cool. ;)

Here is the finished picture I have made.

looks really cool.

Hope you don't mind a couple of crits, they eyes need a lot more specular. also I don't think there would be as much shadow on them.

great work keep it up.

hook up some eyelights and your set.
also, this may just be me, but i think the helmet has way too much spec, like it has a coat of wax. Army helmets are really dull, with little to no spec i think. Throw on a neat dirtmap and it'll look killer. Oh and i just saw something from the sideview that looked a little funny. The bottom lip should be more..um..convex? I don't know if that is the proper term, but it should be arcing the other way.
Nice work.

It looks really good, although I think it looks like plastic, although I like that affect.

And just one thing I noticed, he doesn't appear to have eyebrows.

yes, I totaly agree with the helmet, it should be dull, but I find
it a bit more interesting with the reflections and all :)
I didn't quite get the lip thing, please explain

Ok i'm having trouble putting this into words as well. Me am smart. I'll go draw it out real quick right now. Ok even my mouse drawing might not be that clear, but you get the idea. I may be wrong about how yorus looks as it looks good from the other views, just stood out from the side.

I agree with the helmet specularity. It could use some scratches and things, too.

Is there some odd lines above the right eye? (Right eye when you look at the screen). It looks like a wierd fold you might get if you were modeling with splines which I can't remember if you were or not.

And I disagree about the helmet thing, I like it as it is. But they are right in saying its not realistic. For some reason the new photoshopped image gives me the image that he is a nuclear worker who has just seen a blast (hence the harsh lighting).
