my 3ds max 5 won't work..anyone here know why?

i have bought a legal copy, and i just formatted my computer..when i received my new authorization code and i type in all the numbers it says there is an error. I called the authorization people of discreet and they said reinstall it, i reinstalled 3dsm5 2 times. anyone here have ideas? thanks.

dunno its all a bit of guesswork, discreet should be the ones to get you through this, they are the experts, try their forum online they have a section just for licensing errors

but heres somethings you cant try if you DONT get any joy from them, BUT dont hold me responsible if it screws things up for you

Backup important stuff
unistall max
unistall cdilla

find the invisible cdilla folder on your c drive delete that

now install the latest cdilla from discreet 1st, then install max and try and register it after you have a new code from discreet

if that dont work then u need to go through all that again but before you reinstall anything go through your registry and delete all instances of cdilla or dilla or cdill etc....then do the reinstall

i would personally take note of any error numbers and get discreet to walk you through their steps one by one, as there are things that can muck up licensing on max like hardware etc....

if you dont understand any of the above terms then dont bother, as fiddling with your registry can kill your machine easily if you screw up

no error

when i registered to get my auth code i received an incorrect one..then i called in and they said uninstall..did that and my auth code still won't work
