The Boss Distortion Pedal was something I did in 2003. I decided to redo today and here is how it turned out.
Let me know what you think.

Incredibly sweet! I am very familiar with the Boss distortion pedal and this render is very close to perfection. Killer lighting, great modeling. Excellent work.

Great models. My only crit. is that the box looks to perfect (ex. too clean for just a cardboard box, no wrinkles/imperfections) and the pedal looks almost plastic (should be seen more like a painted metal)

Unfortuantely, StevenBHS is right. Being a guitarist myself, I am very familiar with this distortion pedal and although the model is perfect, the texture is a little too bland. The lighting is still great but maybe a metallic texture would be nice. The box, just like StevenBHS said, once again, seems a litttle too perfect. If wrinkling it up and denting it is too hard, then maybe adding a few "dirty" splotches here and there might do the trick. I don't know, just a few suggestions but killer picks dude and I like the cable. Unless you disagree for some reason, I would maybe add some product name (Fender?) on the cable to add to the overall authenticity.

I've got no crits on the "cleanliness" of it as all of my pedal boxes (& there's a lot of them) are in pristine condition in the loft & my pedals are also rather well cared for in a custom padded flight case......thank you eBay for making everyone look after their stuff:thumbsup:
The one thing that struck me straight away, & your pics will verify this, is that the casing is not rounded enough. I'm not a big fan of Boss pedals but they are very well made & they're...um..this is gonna sound weird but, they feel nice to hold. They've got nice chunky, rounded edges. The case on your model looks more like the new breed of cheap imitations. That is my only crit....actually, maybe the Boss logo should be modelled into the rubber rather than just a bump & it seems to attract a lot of dust, even when new......other than those two, it looks great.

Nice!!! :)
The DS-1 was my first distortion pedel, glad to see it again as it brings back memories. Now if you could make the Boss Metal Zone MT-2 that would be awesome, the MT-2 is a wicked distortion box!!! :) Any guitarz and ampz to go with your DS-1???
