I'm trying to do a effect like in the movie The Mask, where the main character wizzes around and great a tornado effect. Now this effect really isn't like a weather tornado and doesn't need to be realisitic. I remember a article in 3d artist about using Lag points(now inertia) in Lightwave, but I've long lost the magazine. I'm trying to use inertia and motion blur in Lightwave but it doesn't seem to be working out. Any ideas or clues would be great!

you may recieve more 3d-relevant info in the Lightwave specific forum.

my only suggestion would be to use vector blur-- LW's motion blur is very segmented without it.

I seem to recall warped 3D geometry being used to kind of represent stretched arms and legs. I the transition from standing still to spinning was so fast, I don't think a very accurate transion is required.
