Number 1: Yes

Number 2: No

Just grab the top of the curve editor (a little hand appears. Try grabbing on the right side of the top part) and drag up.

btw for number 2, you wouldn't want that because all the toobars slide. resize your window so it's small (maybe 1024 x 768). Then grab the toolbar with the middle button and drag left and right.
Cool huh?

no prob man.

Yeah, I work in 1600 also. That's why I said to resize max so your workspace is a lot smaller and the toolbar doesn't fit into the screen. Just "un-maximize" max (not minimize) and make it smaller. Then use the middle button to slide the toolbar left and right. It slides the same way the modifier panel does.

That's why I don't get why you would want what your talking about.

You can sort of do it.

*First, un-maximize max.
*Then, pick the the Command Panel and undock it.
*Now, place the Command Panel to the right of your monitor and resize it to have the full 1200 pixels height
*Finally, resize the rest of Max from 0,0 to the left border of the Command Panel.

If you have dual monitor system, you would put the Command Panel on the second monitor anyway... Or you can just float it and hide it when not needed. Then you would use the default shortcuts to quickly unhide it, do stuff and hide it again...

1 : cool . . . didn't know that . . . no need for it tho with dual monitor . . .

2 : i knew that . . . but it's not what he wanted . . .
and besides . . . the workaround is kinda 'expert' mode like. . .

no need for that either . . . [see reason 1 :D]
