View Full Version : Washed Textures :( plz help

Hi,

I'm trying to render a simple scene: a room with a cupboard against the wall.
Here's what I get with Vray 1.46.15 in Max 7 using Vray materials and one Vray light:

As you can see, the cherry texture is all washed up :(
What did I setup wrong?
Compare with the same scene rendered with default scanline renderer using standard textures and one omni light.

And another question: how can I improve my scene illumination in order to obtain a more quality-catalog-photo-like rendering ?

I wish it would be that easy. But as I was saying, I rendered the same scene with default scanline renderer, changed Vray materials with standard ones, and I didn't change the mapping.

Can anybody check a little my illumination also, to guide me for a better realistic look?

interesting...Ive never come across that problem before. Only thing I can think of is go to the global settings rollout and make sure "maps" is not unchecked...
