Solved the animation question....instead of opening a new thread first, I'll post my new question to see if I get any takers.

Q2.

I've manually tracked a shot in Boujou, a video panning along a tree lying on the floor horizontally, its a great match, but when I add a test object, the perspective isn't right, I figured out why this is, but am completely lost on how to fix it.

Explanation...
OK the camera pans along the tree from left to right, when I place a cube on a tracking point that lies on the top of the tree, I can see the left side of the cube when the camera is starting out, and as it pans right, the object slowly turns and I end up seeing the right side of the object....I checked my 3D view, and its because the tracking points think the tree is bent, see image 1 (sorry was done quickly in paint), when in fact the tree is straight (should look like image 2). How do I fix this? Wouldn't it be something that needs to be nailed down between tracking and camera solving. Adding a co-ordinate system doesn't actually move any of the tracks, so I'm still stuck with a wrong perspective, so that ain't the answer.

If somehow you were able to tell the tracker, that such and such tracks are all on the same X-Y plane then camera solve surely that would be the way forward.

If you know more and can get the grasp of my problem please enlighten me.
