It is looking good!

I like it very much. Each character looks very neat and distinctive and has their own characteristics. Even though this is a still image... but they look alive!

Thank you very much everubody for their posts. We are 5 guys working on the project, 4 3D and 1 guy doing the designs. Unfortunatelly we are doing it on our spare time so we are going slower than we would wish.
We are actually thinking about doing a short film....we will keep you posted.

I thought Chess Mate had been cancelled, I havend heard of you guys in quite a long time. But tell us, how is the project going? I thought you were working on animated series, but now you're talking about a shortfilm... :curious:

the black queen (the gothy looking chick) looks a lot like a character from an animation i saw at siggraph that turns into a tree.

Hola edwarder!

I'm very happy you post here your pieces of chess. I've already said you (some long time ago by email) your work is really really awesome. The teaser you've done work perfectly and they are really funny. But we really want you update your web because we want see more of these characters and their facial poses (over all!).
The bishop is, probably, my favourite. Great expressions.

I really hope we, the spanish, see soon this in our tvs... Good Luck! :thumbsup: ... and then... a film projected in all the world! ;)

Wow!!! This is breaking our better expectatives!!! Due to the too many visits and too many links that has just appeared the last few days we have decided to upgrade the web page. So you can now download lot of animation test we had on the hard disc.

Buenas ;) , wow guys this is great , I love the style of the characters, they are very randy, I'm be very excited seen the animations at the new website , particularly the character the Louise is very very funny at the short with the sword of light, I can't wait of see it at the TV guys.
