'Sit Down, Stand Up' by Radiohead.

This is the final 3rd year project completed for the BA course at the NCCA in bournemouth. It took about 8 months to complete.

Download the movie files here (http://www.lauriehufford.com/index.php?area=vids&video=2#theVideo):

Thanks for watching, hope you like it.
(ps. the song is the main part of this project, so its a waste of time to watch it without sound)

Hey

Think you have created some very fitting visuals for "Sit Down Stand Up". I am swept away by the camera during the first part of the music video – it really fits the feeling you get from listening to the music. The same goes for the second part – the rapid cuts and the animation fits the music really well. Parts I particularly like are the red light that you follow through the second half of the corridor and the general execution of the visuals for the part with the guy. I really love the animation on the guys walking around in the corridor, I do think however that a few more could have been introduced earlier on as the corridors are very sparse at some points. Another minor point I think could improve the piece slightly is the skin texture of the character at the end – not the colour but the bump map. I think it looks a bit too uniform. This is only an issue in the extreme close-ups though – looks fine from further away. Also, the glowing overlays look amazing.

I really love this music video and can’t wait to see your future work http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Hummm... the high def video doesn't seem to exist... and the other 2 don't play on my Quicktime Player (only the sound is heard)... What codec did you use ? I would like to see your music video, but I can't ! :)

in order to watch it you need the latest quicktime - version 7. the links above should let you download it.

Ive made the high def one work now - my mistake.

its the H.264 codec, which has just been released with the latest quicktime, and is very nice for compression size and quality, but no one seems to be able to view it yet :(
