Hi guys:

I am currently having trouble to make realistic glass in Maya. Just wondering if anyone could provide some tutorials on making realistic glass, I searched the internet all night and couldnt find anything.

go look at lobbers glass material for mr in the rendering section :thumbsup:

go into the rendering sub-forum. Its one of the most current threads called "Lobber's MR Glass Shader". read through the thread. Somewhere onthe first or second page, one member even posted a scene file with its use which you can look at to see how its implemented.

without mentalray you can also do some nice glass, with blinn plus raytracing.

yeah. Just remeber to put a material in the reflected color slot. Glass doesn't look like much if its not reflecting something
