Thats really cool 3dprince. However, I cannot download the game if I must be before the 19th download each day. CG gets thousands of hits each day, so to bad for me
Edit: ah, well, I go to see if it will let me download again, and it says 24 downloaded already, but it gave me a waiting ticket. Cool! :bounce:
I download the game, but cannot try. No password and the quys site is written in a language me or my browser cannot umderstand.
Are you absolutely certain your game is SO good it NEEDS passwordprotection?
Annoying, in deed.

that'll get you in. Yeah, I agree, but give the guy credit, cause he's probably trying to learn programming, and he did make a pretty nice game. :)
Thanks, AnonymousArtist! I tried the game and it is in deed quite nice. Blender game engine is something I have not even started to try understanding yet, but I have seen a few examples of games made with it and this is above average.
Sorry to be annoyed, but it was annoying to download something and then not be able to try it.

heya, no worries Joat.
I really dig the side scrolling action, and if I had time and dedication, I'd make a clone of the coolest side scroller: "Metal Slug 3"; lol, in my dreams maybe. :argh:
What would really qualify Voilet as one of (if not 'THE') best Blender made games in my opinion? Well, it already qualifys as one of the best I've played so far, but what would really make it shine?
I think that less obsticals, and more enemies would be the first improvement thats needed.
Enemies that shoot at you with slow moving projectiles would be nice...
A smaller ship with different animations (movements, thruster intensity, damage, ect.)
More game textures, and better quality, or at least more varietity.
A boss that has an actual attact (i.e. attack pattern).
a shield machanism that protects the ship with for a moment when a designated button is pressed. And also the ship should be made weaker to justify the need of a shield.
Although these suggestions are a matter of personal taste, it gives a general ideal of what a production quality game is about. I think that this game has that potental, no B.S., even if it is just a simple clone, its a genre that is close to my heart and theres a market for it. :lightbulb
What really makes the game interesting, and worth while is those obsticals that are animated to swing up as you fly through- causing a nervous itch in my stomach. They get really close to the camera, but aren't too obtuse. The obstical is repeated several times, which is acceptable, but the other obsticals were less inspired and more generic.
It is a promising start to what might be a great full game. But if this is'nt going any farther in development, then it was still very well done and enjoyable.

Well, sorry to hear that. I suppose they have a good legal reason for doing so, probably to keep themselves from getting in trouble, which is understandable.
I must say that you are pretty talented for such a youngling. When I was your age, I dreamed of making video games and working on the coolest games. I wanted to be creative everyday in my 'dream career'. I still do. I hope you will focus on gaining more skills and achieving your dreams, whatever they may be.
