View Full Version : Brent Alleyne's Cinematics...
Brent_3D 06-10-2005, 06:18 AM Finally had a chance to get a couple of my cinematics up with good quality. Check them out. Some Civilization 3 fans may get a kick out of them. Based on some suggestions from the forum, I've dropped the "demo reel" type stuff and just going with the straight flicks until I can come up with something more dynamic. Just click on the link below.

nice work! I really liked that Launch one, the shot of the shuttle taking off over the green grass was full of great colors. Both were nice and relaxing imagery. Oh, and I think you accidently put those in the "Family Photo Album" section of your site ;)

Hey thanks Clay. Can't say much about my family tree though. Wait to see the rest of the folks.

Hey Brent,
Great job. I really liked the sea of flowers and grass. How did you do that in LW?
My only crit would be that you might want to add some dirt map textures or procedurals to the surfaces of the rocket and the launch tower. Other than that it looks fantastic.
Please tell us how you made each scene.
Cheers,
-Brent
p.s. cool name by the way ;)

I put up the animatic for the "Journey" piece. It's a little out of sync with the final score but you'll get the idea of how I start things out. Check it out on my animation page at the link below.

Nice work again Brent, awesome! Nice editing, and the animatic for the other flick was a plus too. Do you have any tutorials on how you do your smoke and grass?
